Tú eres una dulce, dulce chica, pero este es un cruel, cruel mundo

Hay dos cosas que detesto de las bandas buenas. La primera: que su vocalista, guitarrista o algún miembro particular se suicide hastiado de la fama dejándonos desahuciados porque nunca, nunca jamás tendremos la oportunidad de disfrutar un concierto como debe de ser, con los integrantes originales. La segunda: que se separen en el mejor momento por ‘peleas internas’, riñas personales, envidias, celos, egolatría o por lo que sea. Cuando conocí a The Libertines, por ejemplo, la banda ya estaba hecha jirones y los problemas eran cada vez mayores. Esta banda inglesa de rock melódico se hizo más conocida allá por el 2000 y siguió conquistando público los años siguientes. Y claro, es en esta época cuando los problemas empiezan, principalmente entre Pete Doherty (vocalista) y Carl Barât (voz y guitarra). En el 2003 Doherty ingresa a robar a la casa de Barât y más tarde se declara culpable agregando también que es adicto a la heroína (otra vez la heroína). Tiempo después saldría libre. En el 2004 lanzarían el álbum llamado The Libertines (mucha creatividad) y se consolidarían al menos en el Reino Unido. Otra vez, Doherty causaría problemas faltando a la gira de la banda y un año después Barat anunciaría la separación definitiva del grupo. Para este post les elegí cuatro canciones, las que mi a parecer son casi perfectas.
